Transport holiday gifts
The Volunteer Center, KZST and Friedman’s Home Improvement is looking for volunteers for a Secret Santa gift-giving program. The program places thousands of gifts with families and individuals who would otherwise go without. Volunteers are needed to transport the gifts. Cut hair at Thanksgiving meal
Redwood Gospel Mission’s Great Thanksgiving Banquet on Nov. 27 needs haircutters. Flexible two-hour shifts are preferred. Professional license is not required. Also needed are donations of homemade cookies and muffins and floral centerpieces for the dining hall. Approximately 5,000 low-income and homeless men, women and children will be served. Schools of Hope, a United Way of Wine Country initiative, seeks volunteers to tutor local elementary school children in reading 30 minutes a week from February to May. Fingerprints and TB test are required. To attend
