The Analy boys and St. Vincent girls won Sonoma County League swimming
championships Saturday at the Petaluma Swim Center.
Alison Blom and Camille McIntyre led St. Vincent to its first ever SCL
title. Blom won the 100-yard butterfly and McIntyre the 100 freestyle.
Max Horrell won the 100 backstroke (57.52) and the 100 fly (53.94) to lead
the Analy boys.
Analy’s Hank Weinberger won the 50 freestyle in 22.53 and was second in the
100 free.
Both the Analy boys and St. Vincent girls finished first in points in
Saturday’s meet and were also unbeaten during the dual meet portion of the
league season.
St. Vincent girls were followed by Windsor in second and Analy in third.
Windsor edged Analy by winning the day’s final event, the 400 free relay.
In boys, Healdsburg finished second and Casa Grande third in the team
standings.
Petaluma’s Caitlyn Catelli won both the 50 and 100 free, Windsor’s Kelsey
Louden won the 100 breast and was second to Blom in a close race in the 100
fly.
Windsor freshman Jessica Ampuero won both the 200 IM and 500 free and
teammate Jenna Patalano won the 200 free.
El Molino’s David Sallee won the 100 and 200 free and Petaluma’s Evan
Vizcarra won the 500 free.
Both Sallee and Horrell won their two races with North Coast Section
automatic qualifying times.
Most of the SCL winners already have already posted NCS qualifying times.
The NCS meet is Friday and Saturday at the Concord Community Pool.
