Roy and Margee Bursch
On the occasion of their 65th anniversary, Roy and Margee Bursch celebrated
with a family party at the Santa Rosa home of their son Alan Bursch and his
wife, Candy. Their other children in attendance were Steve Bursch of
Sebastopol and Sue Morris of Keizer, Ore.
Roy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard a troop transport
ship in Honduras.
Roy and the former Margee Watson were married in Sacramento on March 6,
1942. The couple settled in San Jose, where Roy was an administrator for the
San Jose Unified School District and Margee was a schoolteacher and a
homemaker. They moved to Santa Rosa in 2000.
Roy and Margee have seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
