Katrina concert
Thirty volunteers are needed Saturday at the Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa
for a hurricane-relief benefit concert. Volunteers are needed from 1-3 p.m. to
set up chairs and organize donated items.
The concert, which is scheduled from 3-7 p.m., will take place in the
Macy’s parking lot.

Be a senior advocate
The ombudsman program is seeking volunteers to work on behalf of seniors in
nursing, residential- and assisted-living, homes.
The next ombudsman-certification class is Wednesday.

Lead an adventure
Ocean Discovery educates Sonoma County students and adults about marine
science through hands-on activities, classes and tours.
A naturalist or instructor is needed to lead tide-pool exploration and
nature walks. Training will be provided. A clerical assistant is also needed.

Clean up Baylands
The Sonoma Land Trust needs volunteers to remove roadside litter and
invasive ice plant from San Pablo Baylands shorebird habitat near Lakeville
Highway and Highway 37, from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 23.

Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic, a nonprofit mental health clinic, is planning a
yard sale Saturday and Sunday, but needs volunteers Thursday and Friday to
sort and price items. The group is also seeking an experienced event planner
for its spring fund-raiser.

The Redwood Health Library and Education Center in Petaluma is a program of
the Petaluma Health Care District that operates a consumer-health library.
Volunteer library assistants are needed for 3- to 4-hour shifts, Mondays,
